CAIS Legacy: Ready for the Year 2000!
During 1997 and 1998, we have investigated and tested the CAIS Legacy
products for year 2000 readiness. As problems were found in our investigations
we have incorporated the solutions into our current product releases.
A final Y2k cluster-wide roll forward test was performed on all modules in
November, 1999.
Below is a
table of the current versions of our products running throughout our system of
clients.

Readiness Disclosure
Information contained on CAIS's past and present Year 2000 web site
pages regarding CAIS's products and services are "Year 2000
Readiness Disclosures" under the federal Year 2000 Information and
Readiness Disclosure Act of 1998. This designation also applies to
information delivered through or derived from CAIS's documentation, such
as electronic and hardcopy Release Notes, Enews, and other materials.
Any information on CAIS's Year 2000 web site pages regarding non-CAIS
products or services is a "Republication" under the Year 2000
Information and Readiness Disclosure Act, and is based on information
supplied by other companies about their products or services. CAIS has
not independently verified the contents of these Republications and
takes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of information
contained in them.

Testing for Year 2000
It is important to note that CAIS's Year 2000 product compliance does
not eliminate the need for Year 2000 readiness testing a client has to
perform. Most importantly the client's application of the software has
to be tested to make sure Year 2000 operations perform and meet the
expectations of the organization. This test is important even if the
application software is certified to be Year 2000 compliant because no
universal definitions exist at sufficient detail to 'guarantee'
conformance without such testing.
Year2000 and your local network and desktops
Your desktop may be the your most vulnerable link to successfully
functioning when the new century arrives. Make sure that you have
coordinated your desktop Y2k tests and remedies with your local IT

CAIS Warranty
CAIS considers a product Year 2000 ready if the product, when used in
accordance with its associated documentation, is capable of correctly
processing, providing, and/or receiving date data into and between the
years 2000 and 2020, including leap year calculations, provided that all
hardware, software and firmware used with the product properly exchange
accurate date data with the CAIS products.

CAIS Warranty Limitations
Any defect support and/or maintenance for these products will be
provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of your agreement
with CAIS regarding such product. With the exception of information
supplied relating to any changes in the specifications of our ready
products, the information supplied here is intended for informational
purposes only, and does not constitute a certification or warranty,
expressed or implied, of any kind. This specification amendment does not
change the original warranty terms and conditions or warranty expiration
date applicable to any CAIS product.
Please note that CAIS does not warrant that the operation of its
products will be uninterrupted or error-free. That is, as with all
software products, the year 2000 readiness does not imply a guarantee
that the system has no flaws. CAIS has taken reasonable steps to
identify and correct any year 2000 issues. As we approach the year 2000
and client testing identifies issues, we will continue to make
improvements as required to our CAIS software products.
