Rich Helmke serves as our Server Manager/DBA (and Assoc Prof, Computer Science). Rich has been at the computer center since 1970. He has a BS from Concordia Teachers College, RF (1970) and an MS in Computer Science from IIT, Chicago (1973). Hailing from Tinley Park, Rich spends his free time serving as the Video Producer/Editor, for Trinity Family Hour (ATT Cable) and doing theater lighting. He is married to Phyllis (1972), and has two daughters Susie & Betsy. Rich remembers starting at Concordia Teachers College as a freshman handling punch cards, card sorter, collator, and an IBM1401.   

Marianne Gillfillan  began working at the computer center as a part-time while studying for a BA ('91) in Secondary Education. That was in 1988. Part-time lead to full-time in 1990, and except for a one-year lapse of judgment, she's been here ever since. Mar now lives in Palos Hills with her husband Ray and daughter Erin, but grew up on the southside of Chicago. Mar received her MA in Computer Science Education from CURF in 1994. She is a major Cubs fan and enjoys golfing, scrapbooking, genealogy research, and power tools.

Michael Spice has worked at the computer center since 1992 and is currently the Sr. Network Technician for CAIS. He has a BA in Computer Science (CURF 1992). Mike lives in Elmwood Park where he grew up and enjoys new and old automobiles, computers of all types, and all operating systems. Mike also enjoys drawing, illustrating, and photography, both on traditional media and on computers.

Kari Hermansen does the billing for CAIS. She has been at the computer center since September 1988 and graduated with a BA in 1991 from Concordia. Kari & husband, Scotti,(her boss!) live in Melrose Park with their 3 children: Alex,  Amanda, and Ashley. Kari's favorite hobby is doing Creative Memories/scrapbooking, garage saleing, watching movies, and eating out.
