Administrative Information System Project
Alan Borcherding presented an overview of current concepts and developments
in the AIS project. Scotti Hermansen presented plans for implementation and cost
allocation.
The following resolutions were adopted.
Resolved, that the title of the manager of the AIS be
"Director of the Concordia Administrative Information System."
Resolved, that the BHE/CUS Presidential Board endorses the
nomination of Scott Hermansen, Don Sylwester, Eric LaMott, and Peter Wille for
the position of Director of the Concordia Administrative Information System.
Resolved, that the BHE/CUS Presidential Board elect Scotti
Hermansen to serve as the "Director of the Concordia Administrative
Information System."
Resolved, that the Director of the CAIS also serve as CAIS
Project Director for the SCT implementation.
Resolved, that the SCT contract should preclude SCT from hiring
personnel from the campuses and campuses from hiring SCT personnel for two
years.
Resolved, that the BHE/CUS Presidential Board adopts the cost
allocation structure in the Charter, Appendix A, as presented.
1. CAIS Administration is split between all participating
institutions equally, and includes the director with basic staff and facility,
travel and meetings for the Council, and professional memberships.
2. Software maintenance fees owed to vendors are charged back
to schools based on the FTE enrollment of the participating schools.
3. Help desk charges are based on the FTE enrollment of the
participating schools.
4. Fees based on actual usage are charged for Service Center
data processing and technical consulting.
Resolved, that financing for the AIS project include partial
deferment of implementation payments by campuses.
