CAIS Legacy: Campus Housing Module

The Housing software includes the following features:

• New school years and terms are set up as needed by the Housing Office.
• Any number of terms can be designated and used within the same year. Housing Information can be copied to another, and selected data items can be removed using batch routines
• The Housing database includes the required fields for student ID, dormitory, room, rate, and meal pass number, plus additional fields to store information as needed.
• The rate code is used by the Student Billing program. The dormitory and room can optionally print on the student's bill.
• Several fields from the registrar's files can be displayed, as decided by the housing director.
• Reports and labels can be generated from any term's database.
• Automatic assignment of meal pass numbers is an option.
• Lists of students can be printed for Food Service.
• Each school defines the dorms it uses, as well as the number of spaces in each room. Room assignments are verified to ensure a room is not over-assigned.
• A standard report shows each room and the number of occupants in each room. Room assignments are verified to prevent over booking.
• Roommate Cards can be run to give the name and address of each person assigned in the room. There is room on each card for a personalized message.
